Jesus. All about life DVD Course
This 5 week DVD course was produced by Bible Society NSW as part of the "Jesus. All about life" project. Filmed in front of a live audience‚ the series is designed to make learning about the Christian faith stimulating and challenging.

“The idea for this series came from the churches we are working with in Adelaide on the ‘Jesus. All about life’ (JAAL) prime time media campaign‚” said Bible Society NSW CEO‚ Daniel Willis. “ Many churches were looking for an easily accessible‚ short course on Christian faith that they could run in their churches after the campaign finishes for people who respond to the media advertising. We have based the course on the response book we have produced for the campaign‚” said Daniel.
Karl Faase‚ who presents the course and is one of the directors of Bible Society NSW’s ‘Jesus. All about life’ project said that each 26 minute talk was designed to help people understand who Jesus is‚ how the Bible came to be written and how to come into a relationship with God.
“The course starts with the spiritual search that many in our society seem to be on. We ask the question‚ ‘is there a spiritual side to life?’ and encourage people to answer for themselves. In the second week of the course‚ we ask people to consider‚ ‘what’s wrong with the world?’
We move through some of the thousands of historical records that prove that the Bible we have today is as it was written thousands of years ago and end by asking people to consider a relationship with God‚” said Karl.
The course was developed in association with Ambassadors for Christ who wanted to update their ‘Lifeworks’ course. The course is designed to be used over a five week period with course notes and a leader’s manual included on the DVD in PDF format.
The DVD also contains a three minute promotional video that can be played in churches‚ together with a message for course leaders. “Whilst the course links in with the ‘Jesus. All about life’ media campaign‚ it can be run entirely separately‚” said Karl.
“We encourage participants to have their own copy of the book and ask course leaders to organise a meal or desert and coffee before they play each talk. After each talk‚ we encourage people to discuss the issues raised in an open and sharing manner‚” he said.
