Spreading the word in wa
Great opportunities are developing to share the name of Jesus right across Western Australia during the Jesus All About Life Campaign.
Plans are being developed to launch the campaign at the Perth Royal Show at the end of September 2009 and continue throughout October. We have been encouraged at the number of churches that are registering to participate including the wide range of churches from different denominations. For instance just north of Perth CBD we have Dianella Uniting church, the Indonesian Mission Baptist Church, Yokine Baptist Church, Yokine Uniting Church, Nollamara Church of Christ, Leederville Anglican Church and Grace City Church in Osborne Park. South of the CBD churches like Cityview Church in Carlisle, All Saints Belmont, South Perth Baptist, and South Perth Church of Christ have registered. Churches throughout the Rockingham/Mandurah area are actively involved, 12 churches have registered in the Greater Bunbury area and seven in Albany. The state is well covered with registrations having come in from Broome in the north to Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Newdegate and Margaret River. We also have registrations from groups like Solid Rock Racing in Esperance, Western Australian Christian Men in Bunbury, Scripture Union WA, Harvestwest Bible College, and Churches of Christ Sport and Recreation Association Inc.

Rick is happy to provide you with information to help you in planning activities during the campaign, to order banners and other material to help you in your planning.
There are a number of goals we are seeking to achieve:
- To see 400 churches registered with the campaign. If you are not already registered please follow the prompts on this page.
- To raise nearly $500,000 to cover the costs associated with the campaign, including the media buy and the promotion leading up to the campaign. There are details on this site about how to make a tax deductible donation through the Areopagus Trust.
- To encourage thousands of Christians in WA to pray for the state of Western Australia. You can do this right now, but email our Project Officer, Rick Birch on jaalwa@biblesocietywa.com.au if you want more details
Churches in WA are encouraged to register now to be a part of the WA Campaign. When you register you will receive a kit that will include:
- A training DVD so that you can prepare people in your church for the campaign;
- A list of scores of different ways that you can be involved in the campaign;
- details of booklets, banners and other material that you can purchase to contribute to the campaign;
- suggested sermons topics and outlines;
- and lots of more information to help you make the most of this opportunity.
